I need to remove text watermark from 1000+ car images. They are in different positions, so, I need fully automated AI solution. SoftOrbits Watermark Remover eliminated it cleanly from 90% of images. Tested alternatives: Photoshop (complex, not batch mode), Paint (ineffective), Snapseed/AirBrush (limited), PhotoDirector (overpriced). All of this tool except SoftOrbits do not have a batch mode.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to remove text from an image without removing the background

Add photos to the program

When you open the text remover from the image app, click Add File. You can use the batch conversion feature if multiple photos with the exact text need to be removed.

#Way #2: Ustng Adobe Photoshop?

The spot healing brush is the main tool you have to use to remove the text from images. This can be selected from the toolbar on top.

When selecting the healing brush, turn on the Sample All Layers feature. This is useful because it allows to analyse details from all the layers and fill in the gaps correctly after the text is removed.

When you select the Sample All Layers option, you will also see an option for Type on the left side. Change this to Content Aware so the program can fill in the text using the surrounding pixels.

Now that your brush is ready, you only have to leave-click on the text. By clicking on the text, it will analyse all the layers, use the surrounding pixels, delete the area and fill it with the background colour.

Way #3: Using the Paint

Make a selection

After opening the photo in Paint, go to the toolbar on top and click on Select. You will see two options under it – Rectangular and free-form. You can make the rectangular selection if your text is in a straight line.

Once the shape of the selection is fixed, simply click and drag the pointer to make sure that the shape created covers your text.

Now that the selected shape covers the text, right-click and select Delete. Paint will clean selected area by deleting everything inside the selected area and leaving a space behind.

You wouldn’t have to do anything if your background was already white. But if the background had some colour which got erased with the text, you will have to fill that black space.

Select the dropper icon from the toolbar, and choose the original colour of the background by clicking the required colour with the dropper. Then go to the Colour Fill option, move the pointer to the white space and left-click! Paint will automatically fill the white space with the selected colour.
